I don’t know what the thinking was behind the move, and the annual report mentioning Marion’s death doesn’t shed any light. Perhaps Catherine’s behaviour changed enough for the Gartnavel doctors to say she had improved and offload her to the poorhouse. I hope I will eventually find out through further research.
